Outstanding instrumental metal album that happens to pay tribute to FFVII. While some of the songs would pretty clearly lend themselves to great metal covers (Bombing Mission, The Chase, Let The Battles Begin), I was most impressed by how much some of the deeper cuts (eg. Mako Reactor) came to life as ripping headbangers. There’s not a weak track on here and the chronological arrangement further complements my enjoyment of the album. Highly recommended. Lloyd James
