Outstanding instrumental metal album that happens to pay tribute to FFVII. While some of the songs would pretty clearly lend themselves to great metal covers (Bombing Mission, The Chase, Let The Battles Begin), I was most impressed by how much some of the deeper cuts (eg. Mako Reactor) came to life as ripping headbangers. There’s not a weak track on here and the chronological arrangement further complements my enjoyment of the album. Highly recommended.

Neo-80s flair, Castlevania love, smooth lyrics and performance, and holy moley A CASSETTE TAPE. AAAA I still play music through a tape deck in my beat up old car. It's gonna be so baller to listen to Wicked Child and Vampire Killer ON AN ACTUAL TAPE. Goddamn, my heart's on fire.
